NOTE
To see the minimum configuration required to enable CEE on the Brocade 8000 CEE switch, refer
to “FCoE minimum configuration” on page 130.
NOTE
You need to enter either the copy running-config startup-config command or the write memory
command to save your configuration changes to Flash so that they are not lost if there is a system
reload or power outage.

Enabling and disabling LLDP globally
The protocol lldp command enables LLDP globally on all interfaces unless it has been specifically
disabled on an interface. LLDP is globally enabled by default.
To enable or disable LLDP globally, perform the following steps from Privileged EXEC mode:

1. Enter global configuration mode. switch#config t
Enter configuration commands, one per
line. End with CNTL/Z.
switch(config)#
2. Enable LLDP globally. switch(config)#protocol lldp
switch(conf-lldp)#no disables
Disable LLDP globally. This command does not
alter the configuration settings made using the
protocol lldp commands.
switch(conf-lldp)#disable
This command returns all configuration settings
made using the protocol lldp commands to their
default settings.
switch(config)#no protocol lldp
3. Display the LLDP configuration. switch(conf-lldp)#do show lldp
[interface | neighbors | statistics]
