Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements

Software Requirements

The following software (or later versions) must be installed before installing the FibrChanl-01 (fcd) driver,

version B.11.23.03 into a system:

• FibrChanl-00 (td) version B.11.23.03 for HP-UX 11i v2 Update 3

• PHKL_30309 patch (needed for fcmsutil support) or later for HP-UX 11i v2

• PHKL_31500 patch or later for HP-UX 11i v2

• PHKL_31226 only needed if OLAR functionality is required - applies to all cards that have a bridge,

including A9782A, A9784A, and AB465A.

• Product number B6191AAE, OnlineDiag bundle version B.11.23.03.xx, released in Sept 2004 (HWE0409).

Driver bundles can be downloaded from the HP Software Depot at: http://www.software.hp.com

Requirements for Boot Support

To boot through the Fibre Channel ports of HBAs, the following are required:

• EFI driver version 1.30 or later

• ROM ﬁrmware version 3.2.168 or later

To boot through the Fibre Channel ports of the AB465A PCI-X 2 Gb Fibre Channel/Gigabit Ethernet

Combination Card, the following are required:

• EFI driver version 1.42 or later

• ROM ﬁrmware version 3.3.150 or later
