Secure Service Policy Manager Upgrade Instructions 3.0 Introduction This document provides procedure for upgrading the Secure Service Policy Manager from version 4.0.0 to 4.1.0. These procedures allow existing customers to upgrade their Policy Manager while retaining the prior configuration. NOTE: You will also need the 3PAR Secure Service Policy Manager User’s Guide, P/N 320-200066, to perform this procedure.
Secure Service Policy Manager Upgrade Instructions 2 From the Existing Version Detected screen, click Yes. NOTE: The upgrade process creates and saves a Secure Service Policy Manager log file to the desktop, which can be deleted at the completion of the upgrade. 3 After the configuration data has been saved, click OK. 4 Remove the current version of the Policy Manager by using the Add/Remove Programs found in the Control Panel. 5 4 Once the removal has been completed, reboot.
Secure Service Policy Manager Upgrade Instructions 6 After the reboot has been completed, navigate to the CDROM drive and choose install 3PARSSPM_4_1_0_6.exe to continue. 7 When the Upgrade in Progress screen appears, click Upgrade. WARNING: Selecting Install will destroy the current configuration data.
Secure Service Policy Manager Upgrade Instructions 8 Review the information needed for the setup of the Policy Manager to validate the information is correct, then click Install. 9 Read the information contained in the pop-up which explains how to log back into the Policy Manager, then click OK.
Secure Service Policy Manager Upgrade Instructions 10 When the Installation Complete screen appears, indicating the upgrade has completed, click Done. NOTE: Please see the log file located at C:\Program Files\3PAR\Secure Service Policy Manager\3PAR_Secure_Service_Policy_Manager_InstallLog.log. The only error that should appear is Can not find source: C:\Program Files\3PAR\Secure Service Policy Manager\PMSAVE\Tomcat5\shared\classes\log4j.properties. This error can be safely ignored.
