Description
This package contains HP StorageWorks P9000 Cluster Extension Software for Linux (formerly
called HP StorageWorks XP Cluster Extension). This software enables write access to remote data
copies when local systems fail. This allows application service recovery even in the worst disaster.
P9000 Cluster Extension works with HP StorageWorks P9000 and XP disk arrays.

Cluster software
P9000 Cluster Extension is supported with the following cluster software:
• SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension (heartbeat and pacemaker)

Linux Device Mapper multipathing
When you use the Linux Device Mapper Multipath software with P9000 Cluster Extension, device
read/write permission changes are not dynamically detected by the operating system. For a
workaround, see “Re-scanning multipath devices” in the HP StorageWorks P9000 Cluster Extension
Software Administrator Guide.
