9.1.2 Removing the Bezels and Unlocking the Door
To view the drive magazine or service processor LEDs, remove the bezels.
Table 9-1. Bezel LED Meanings
LED Appearance Meaning
Fan 0
Fan 1
Solid green light Indicates fan is operating normally.
Solid amber light Indicates fan error.
Node 0
Node 1
Flashing green light (1 blink
per second)
Indicates node is fully functional and part of
the cluster.
Flashing amber light
(1 blink per second)
Indicates the node has a failed or missing
power supply, fan, backup battery, or TOD
battery, but the node is still operational.
Steady green light Indicates node is in the process of joining the
cluster.
Rapidly flashing green (3
blinks per second), in
conjunction with the Hot-
plug LED being solid amber
(see Controller Node LEDs on
page 9.12)
Indicates the node is safe to remove.
Steady amber light Indicates an error within the node.
Solid amber and Hot-plug
LED amber (see Controller
Node LEDs on page 9.12)
Fatal node failure.
WARNING: Hazardous energy is located behind the rear access door of the
storage server cabinet. Use caution when working with the door open.
