Known Issues with the InForm OS
Remote Copy Groups Fail to Auto-Recover (Issue 36104)
When all the Remote Copy links between a pair of remote copy systems are down simultaneously and
the links remain unavailable for a short period due to a network outage or intermittent link errors, a
remote copy volume group can sometimes go into the "Stopped" state and can not restart automatically
even though the "auto_recover" group policy is set.
Workaround: Restart any remote copy volume group in the "Stopped" state using the
startrcopygroup command when the remote copy links are up.
Updating the InForm OS does not Verify the OS Level (Issue 76558)
When performing an offline update of the storage system via the SPmaint menu, the information
required to accurately identify the InForm OS package contents is not reliable.
Workaround: Enter the SPMaint option =4.7.2 (Validate Update) to verify the contents of the InForm
OS package. As a part of the operation of this option, the InForm OS package version and contents
are displayed to the user.
NOTE: Offline upgrade displays the Inform OS package as 2.2.4.164, while prechecks can be
used to ensure that the InForm OS level is 2.2.4.164 P14 P16.
