HP 3PAR Online Import for EMC Storage Data Migration Guide
7 Troubleshooting
The following are problems you may encounter when using EMC to HP 3PAR StoreServ Online
Import.
NOTE: During the migration process, it is important to remember that the data continues to be
served from the source EMC Storage system until the import of each volume is complete. If host
errors occur, both the destination HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage system and the source EMC Storage
system should be checked for potential problems.
Understanding the OIU Migration Process
Understanding the migration process and the order of the procedures is helpful when
troubleshooting. The diagnostic tool for EMC is Unisphere and for 3PAR it is the Management
Interface. This section provides an overview of the OIU CLI commands used and what is happening
from setup to completion of the migration.
