B Maintenance Mode
Setting the Service Processor to Maintenance Mode may be required to perform some tasks.
Maintenance Mode can be set to on or off using SPOCC or SPmaint.
Setting Maintenance Mode Using SPOCC
1. On the SPOCC home page, click the SPmaint menu option in the left pane.
2. Click InServ Configuration Management.
3. Click Modify.
4. Select the ON radio button to the right of the Maintenance Mode feature.
5. A duration menu option opens to select the amount of time you want Maintenance Mode to
be on. Select your desired duration.
6. Turn OFF Maintenance Mode after you have completed your task by selecting the OFF radio
button.
NOTE: If the time duration is not specified/updated in the Maintenance Mode section, then
the alerts will NOT be sent to HP 3PAR Support until Maintenance Mode is turned OFF.
Setting Maintenance Mode Using SPMAINT
1. Connect to the SP.
2. From the SPMAINT main menu, select: 3 StoreServ Configuration Management.
3. Select your StoreServ to operate on.
4. Select 6 Maintenance Mode: OFF. By selecting the Maintenance Mode menu item, it will
toggle the ON/OFF setting. For example, if you selected Maintenance Mode: ON, then it will
toggle to the OFF setting.
5. Select: S Save changes then exit.
6. Select the number that corresponds with the duration you want Maintenance Mode to be in
the ON setting or select other to specify the exact time, then press return to continue.
7. Repeat steps 2 through 5 to turn Maintenance Mode OFF when you have completed your
task.
