Migration of Repository from HP 3PAR Recovery Manager for Exchange 4.3 to 4.4.2
The existing repositories of the Microsoft Exchange 2007 and 2010 are identified with StoreServ
ID which is modified to be identified with StoreServ Storage Serial Number in HP 3PAR Recovery
Manager for Exchange 4.4.2. This is to support the changes in HP 3PAR CLI 3.1.2.
The utility RMERepoUtils.exe is executed from the installer during upgrade.
Any operation on the virtual copies created with HP 3PAR Recovery Manager for Exchange
4.3 will fail, if the StoreServ corresponding to the virtual copy was not registered by the HP
3PAR VSS Provider during the upgrade. Hence, RMERepoUtils.exe utility must be
mandatorily executed explicitly after the StoreServ is registered. You can launch it directly
from the installed directory (goodies). For example:C:\Program Files\3par\RM\
Exchange\goodies\lib>RMERepoUtil.exe (No parameter is required)
NOTE: Follow the instructions of the setup.exe during upgrade to avoid loss of Recovery
Manager repository.
