MSM7xx Controllers Configuration Guide v6.4.0

NOTE:
Bonjour announcements originating from wireless clients on access-controlled VSCs are
discarded. This means that it is not possible to have an access-controlled wireless client advertise
services via Bonjour.
If you assign a VLAN to a VSC egress mapping, access-controlled clients can only reach
Bonjour services that are on the same VLAN (as long as it is not the same VLAN used for the
control channel between the AP and controller).
Wireless clients cannot discover Bonjour services on the subnet used by an AP to establish its
control channel with a controller. Bonjour service announcements on this subnet are discarded
by the AP and controller.
When both Bonjour gateway and traffic management are enabled, all Bonjour IPv6 traffic is
dropped by the APs.
Non-access-controlled VSCs
The following diagram shows how Bonjour traffic is handled when using non-access-controlled
VSCs.
