Example 179 Converting a Commander to a Member
Suppose you have a switch operating as the Commander for a temporary stack named Test. When
it is time to eliminate the temporary Test stack and convert the switch into a member of an existing
stack named Big_Waters, execute the following commands in the switch's CLI:
Split stacking policy
Sets the split policy of the stack.
Syntax
Stacking split-policy < all-fragments-up | one-fragment-up
>
• When the MIB is set to one-fragment-up, then only one of the split fragments will stay active,
while others will be inactive.
• When the MIB is set to all-fragments-up, then all of the split fragments will remain active.
The default policy is one-fragment-up.
