Mixed J9828A, J9829A and J9830A Configurations
Note HP networking highly recommends that the three types of power supplies are
not mixed in the same HP 5412R zl2 Switch.
Although mixing power supplies is not recommended, the following examples
demonstrate the most common usages. Refer to page 14-20 for the discussion
on failover in a mixed power supply environment
This configuration (Figure 14-14) is an example of three power supplies two
J9828As supplying 508 watts and one J9829A supplying 900 watts for a
maximum of 1341 [92.5*(275*2+900)]watts. Therefore out of the total 288
available ports, 87 can be powered at 15.4 watts each..
