Introduction
HP 3800-PoE+ Switches
The HP 3800-48G-PoE+-4SFP+ Switch (J9574A), has 48 PoE+ integrated,
auto-sensing 10/100/1000Base-T RJ-45 ports with four SFP+ uplink ports for
installing HP transceivers.
The HP 3800-24G-PoE+-2SFP+ Switch (J9573A), has 24 PoE+ integrated,
auto-sensing 10/100/1000Base-T RJ-45 ports and two SFP+ uplink ports for
installing HP transceivers.
The HP 3800-48G-PoE+-4XG Switch (J9588A), has 48 PoE+ integrated,
auto-sensing 10/100/1000Base-T RJ-45 ports with four XG uplink ports.
The HP 3800-24G-PoE+-2XG Switch (J9587A), has 24 PoE+ integrated,
auto-sensing 10/100/1000Base-T RJ-45 ports and two XG uplink ports.
These switches also support some pre-standard PoE devices. For a list of these
devices, see the FAQs for your switch model. This feature is disabled by default
and you must enable it if you want to use it by issuing the following command
from the switch CLI:
HP 3800 (config)# power pre-std-detect
