16. 641HCreating a logical link group Required.
IMPORTANT:
The maximum number of real
service groups, real services, and
virtual services depends on the
resource configuration of the root
virtual device. For more
information, see "Managing VDs."

Required.
18. 643HCreating a virtual service
Required.
19. 644HDisplaying link load balancing

Optional.
20. 645HStopping service or enabling
slow-offline
Optional.
21. 646HStopping scheduling for a
logical link
Optional.
202BConfiguring public parameters
1. Select High Reliability > Load Balance > Public Setting from the navigation tree.
The public parameter configuration page appears.

2. Set whether to enable the saving last hop information function.
Enabling this function makes sure responses can be returned on the original path.
203BConfiguring a health monitoring method
You can configure the health monitoring method for a physical link and the best performing link function:
1. Load balancing supports the following health monitoring types for a physical link:
{ ICMP—Monitors the reachability of a server by sending ICMP messages.
{ TCP Half Open—Monitors the availability of an application port through a TCP half open
connection.
2. The system defines the following health monitoring methods for the best performing link function:
{ proxim_dns—Monitors the reachability of a remote address and obtains the best performing
link parameters by sending DNS messages. It is not supported by outbound link load
balancing.
{ proxim_icmp—Monitors the reachability of a remote address and obtains the best performing
link parameters by sending ICMP messages.
{ proxim_tcp_half_open—Monitors the reachability of a remote address and obtains the best
performing link parameters through a TCP half open connection.
