ARP configuration commands
arp max-learning-num
Use arp max-learning-num to configure the maximum number of dynamic ARP entries that an interface
can learn.
Use undo arp max-learning-num to restore the default.
Syntax
arp max-learning-num number
undo arp max-learning-num
Default
A Layer 2 interface does not limit the number of dynamic ARP entries. For information about maximum
number of dynamic ARP entries that a Layer 3 interface can learn, see the following table.

Default command level
2: System level
Parameters
number: Maximum number of dynamic ARP entries that an interface can learn.
The following matrix shows the value range and default values for the number argument on different
firewalls and UTM devices:
Hardware Value ran
g
e
Default value
F1000-A-EI/F1000-S-EI 0 to 4096 4096
F1000-E 0 to 4096 4096
F5000 0 to 2048 1024
Firewall module 0 to 4096 4096
U200-A 0 to 4096 4096
U200-S 0 to 1024 800
Usage guidelines
When the number argument is set to 0, the interface is disabled from learning dynamic ARP entries.
Examples
# Specify VLAN-interface 40 to learn a maximum of 500 dynamic ARP entries.
