Configuring port bandwidth limit is to set the maximum available bandwidth on a port. This setting is
used in place of actual physical port bandwidth for bandwidth check when CBQ enqueues packets.
If no maximum available bandwidth is configured for an interface, the bandwidth used for CBQ
calculation varies by the interface type following these rules:
• If the interface is a physical one, the actual baudrate or rate applies.
• If the interface is a template interface, a VT interface for example, 1000000 kbps applies.
• If the interface is a virtual interface, a tunnel interface for example, 0 kbps applies.
To set the port bandwidth limit:
1. Select Firewall > QoS > PortBandwidth from the navigation tree.
2. Click Setup to enter the page for configuring port bandwidth limit.

3. Configure the port bandwidth limit as described in 2504HTable 41.
4. Click Apply.

Max Bandwidth
Set the maximum available port bandwidth.
HP recommends that you set the maximum available port bandwidth to be smaller
than the actual available bandwidth of the physical interface or logical link.
Interface Select the port or ports to be configured with port bandwidth limit in the port list.
