EATURES
The ProCurve Secure Router 7100/7200 IPSec Module is
designed to be used in the ProCurve Secure Router to
provide encryption/decryption and security acceleration
services. The card provides the following security services
to the host processor: DES, triple-DES (3DES), AES,
SHA-1, MD5, and random number generation. performance
metrics include 528 Mbps (DES), 176 Mbps (3DES), and
422 Mbps (AES). The power consumption of the card does
not exceed 2 watts.
Inserting the optional ProCurve Secure Router 7100/7200
IPSec Module enables additional, security-related software
features on the router. With this module installed, you can
create VPN site-to-site connections between routers. If VPN
client connectivity is required, users must purchase the
ProCurve VPN Client to connect to the router. For more
information on the ProCurve VPN Client software, go to
www.procurve.com.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove the power from the unit.
2. Slide the ProCurve Secure Router 7100/7200 IPSec
Module into the Encryption Module slot (located on the
back of the chassis) until the module is firmly seated
against the chassis.
3. Secure the screws at both edges of the module.
4. Restore power to the unit.
5. The configuration options for encryption will now be
available in the graphical user interface and the Secure
Router Operating System command line interface.
