Displaying the status of a collaboration group and its member
ports
To check the status of a collaboration group, select High Reliability > Collaboration Group from the
navigation tree to enter the page for displaying collaboration groups, as shown in Figure 21. T
o display
the status of a collaboration group’s member ports, click the icon corresponding to the collaboration
group to enter the page for configuring the collaboration group, as shown in Figure 22.

•
Initial: The collaboration group does not have any member port.
•
Up: All member ports of the collaboration group are up.
•
Down: One port in the collaboration group is physically down, other ports are
administratively down.
•
Ambiguous: The status of the collaboration group is not stable. You cannot decide
the status of the collaboration group until a 10-second timer expires.
Interface Status
•
Up: The port is physically up.
•
Down: The port is physically down.
•
Linkgroup-down: The port is administratively down.

Collaboration group configuration example
Network requirements
As shown in Figure 20, LAN users Host A, Host B, and Host C access the Internet through Firewall B.
Firewall C serves as a backup for Firewall B. Configure on Firewall B so that when the link connecting
Router A and Firewall B goes down, the traffic rapidly switches from Firewall B to Firewall C.
Configuration procedure
# Assign GigabitEthernet 0/0 and GigabitEthernet 0/1 to Collaboration Group 1.
• Select High Reliability > Collaboration Group from the navigation tree of Firewall B, and click the
icon corresponding to Collaboration Group 1.
• Select the check boxes in front of GigabitEthernet 0/0 and GigabitEthernet 0/1.
• Click Apply to confirm the operation.
Verifying the configuration
• Unplug the cable connecting Router A to GigabitEthernet 0/0 on Firewall B.
• Select High Reliability > Collaboration Group from the navigation tree of Firewall B, and check the
status of Collaboration Group 1. The status of Collaboration Group 1 is Down.
• Click the icon corresponding to Collaboration Group 1 and check the status of its member ports.
The status of GigabitEthernet 0/0 is Down, and that of GigabitEthernet 0/1 is Linkgroup-down.
