Interface Type
Set the interface type.
Select an interface type in the drop-down list.
Working Mode
Set the interface to work in bridge mode or router mode.
A loopback interface operates only in router mode.
Before configuring an IP address for the interface, make sure the
interface is configured to work in router mode.
Shutting down or bringing up an interface
Select Device Management > Interface from the navigation tree to enter the page shown in Figure 1. In
the status column of an interface, you can check and set the status of the interface.
• The icon indicates that the interface is up and connected. Click this icon to shut down the
interface.
• The icon indicates that the interface is up but disconnected. Click this icon to shut down the
interface.
• The icon indicates that the interface is down. Click this icon to bring up the interface.
