R3166-R3206-HP High-End Firewalls Network Management Configuration Guide-6PW101
269
Task Remarks
Import static routes
Configuring OSPF
globally
Optional
Configure OSPF to redistribute static routes.
Configuring OSPF areas
Required
Configure an OSPF area, specify the network segment
included in the area, so as to enable OSPF on the interface
attached to the specified network segment.
IMPORTANT:
This task allows you to configure one or more interfaces in an
area. You need to enable OSPF on the interface whose
primary IP address belongs to the specified network segment;
otherwise, OSPF cannot run on the interface.
Configuring OSPF interfaces
Optional
Configure timers and OSPF authentication parameters on
the OSPF interface.
IMPORTANT:
To prevent leakage of routing information and guard against
attacks to OSPF routers, OSPF provides the packet
authentication function. To establish neighboring
relationship with a router, an OSPF router sends packets
containing the preconfigured password for authentication.
OSPF only receives packets that pass authentication, so
failed packets cannot establish neighboring relationships.
Displaying OSPF interface information Optional
Displaying OSPF neighbor information Optional
Configuring OSPF globally
