PIM-DM configuration example
Network requirements
Receivers receive VOD information through multicast. The receiver groups of different organizations
form stub networks, and one or more receiver hosts exist in each stub network. The entire PIM
domain operates in the dense mode.
Host A and Host C are multicast receivers in two stub networks N1 and N2.
Firewall D connects to the network that comprises the multicast source (Source) through
GigabitEthernet 0/0.
Firewall A connects to N1 through GigabitEthernet 0/0, and to Firewall D through GigabitEthernet
0/1.
Firewall B and Firewall C connect to N2 through their respective GigabitEthernet 0/0, and to
Firewall D through their respective GigabitEthernet 0/1.
IGMPv2 is to run between Firewall A and N1, and between Firewall B/Firewall C and N2.
