Specify them when saving the current configuration. For more information, see “Saving the running

Specify them when specifying the startup configuration file for the next system startup. For more
information, see “Specifying a startup configuration file for the next system startup.”
Startup with the configuration file
The device takes the following steps when it starts up:
1. If you have specified a startup configuration file for system startup, and this file exists, the device
starts up with this startup file.
2. If the specified startup configuration file does not exist, the device starts up with factory defaults.
Saving the running configuration
Saving the running configuration through web
Perform this task to save the current configuration to the configuration file (including .cfg and .xml files)
to be used at the next startup.
Select Device Management > Maintenance from the navigation tree to enter the saving configuration
page, as shown in Figure 6.

Click Apply to save the current configuration.
If you select Encrypt the configuration file, the configuration file is saved and encrypted.
Saving the running configuration at the CLI
To make configuration changes take effect at the next startup of the device, save the running
configuration to the configuration file to be used at the next startup before the device reboots.
