2: System level
Parameters
ratio: Sets the percentage of the maximum allowed broadcast traffic to the total bandwidth in a VLAN.
The ratio argument ranges from 0 to 100 and defaults to 100. A smaller value indicates less broadcast
traffic is allowed to pass through the VLAN. The value 0 indicates that no broadcast traffic is permitted
to pass through the VLAN. The value 100 indicates that broadcast traffic is not suppressed.
Description
Use the broadcast-suppression command to set a broadcast traffic threshold for the VLAN.
Use the undo broadcast-suppression command to restore the default.
By default, broadcast traffic is not suppressed.
When broadcast traffic exceeds the configured threshold, the system drops the exceeding broadcast
traffic to ensure proper operation of network services.
Your broadcast suppression threshold setting can overwrite the previous one, if any.
Examples
# Set the broadcast traffic threshold to 20 for VLAN 3.
