Configuring OSPF interfaces
Optional
Configure timers and OSPF authentication parameters on
the OSPF interface.
IMPORTANT:
To prevent leakage of routing information and guard
against attacks to OSPF routers, OSPF provides the packet
authentication function. To establish neighboring
relationship with a router, an OSPF router sends packets
containing the preconfigured password for authentication.
OSPF only receives packets that pass authentication, so
failed packets cannot establish neighboring relationships.

Configuring OSPF globally
Select Network > OSPF from the navigation tree to enter the OSPF configuration page, as shown
in Figure 81.

Configuring OSPF areas
Select Network > OSPF from the navigation tree to enter the OSPF configuration page. After you enable
OSPF, the page shown in Figure 82 is
displayed. Click Add on the Area Configuration tab to enter the
OSPF area configuration page, as shown in Figure 83.
