Configuring OSPF interfaces
Select Network > OSPF from the navigation tree to enter the OSPF configuration page. After you
complete OSPF area configurations, click the More button to display the hidden OSPF interface list, as
shown in Figure 84. T
hen, click the icon to enter the configuration page of the specified OSPF
interface, as shown in Figure 85.

Interface Displays the OSPF interface name
Hello Interval
Set the interval for sending hello packets.
The hello interval on P2P, Broadcast interfaces defaults to 10 seconds and defaults to 30
seconds on P2MP and NBMA interfaces.
The smaller the hello interval is, the faster the network converges and the more network
resources are consumed.
The interfaces on a specific network segment must have the same Hello interval.
