Parameters
minutes: Real-time accounting interval in minutes, zero or a multiple of 3 in the range 3 to 60. The default
is 12.
Description
Use the timer realtime-accounting command to set the real-time accounting interval.
Use the undo timer realtime-accounting command to restore the default.
For real-time accounting, a NAS must transmit the accounting information of online users to the RADIUS
accounting server periodically. This command is for setting the interval.
When the real-time accounting interval on the LB module is zero, the module will send online user
accounting information to the RADIUS accounting server at the real-time accounting interval configured
on the server (if any) or will not send online user accounting information.
The setting of the real-time accounting interval somewhat depends on the performance of the NAS and
the RADIUS server: a shorter interval means higher accounting precision but requires higher
performance. You are therefore recommended to adopt a longer interval when there are a large number
of users (1000 or more). The following table lists the recommended ratios of the interval to the number of
users.
