Figure 60 Network diagram for NTP symmetric peers mode configuration
Configuration procedure
1. Configure LB A:
# Specify the local clock as the reference source, with the stratum level of 2.
<LB A> system-view
[LB A] ntp-service refclock-master 2
2. Configure LB B:
# Specify LB A as the NTP server of LB B.
<LB B> system-view
[LB B] ntp-service unicast-server 3.0.1.31
3. Configure LB C (after LB B is synchronized to LB A):
# Specify the local clock as the reference source, with the stratum level of 1.
<LB C> system-view
[LB C] ntp-service refclock-master 1
# Configure LB B as a symmetric peer after local synchronization.
[LB C] ntp-service unicast-peer 3.0.1.32
In the step above, LB B and LB C are configured as symmetric peers, with LB C in the symmetric-active
mode and LB B in the symmetric-passive mode. Because the stratus level of LB C is 1 while that of LB B is
3, LB B is synchronized to LB C.
# View the NTP status of LB B after clock synchronization.
[LB B] display ntp-service status
