Select System > Software Upgrade from the navigation tree to enter the software upgrade configuration
page, as shown in Figure 66.

Specify the filename of the local application file, which must be with an
extension .app or .bin.
File Type
Specify the type of the system software image for the next boot:
• Main
• Backup
If a file with the same name
already exists, overwrite it
without any prompt
Specify whether to overwrite the file with the same name.
If you do not select the option, when a file with the same name exists, the system
prompts “The file has existed.”, and you cannot upgrade the software.
Reboot after the upgrade is
finished
Specify whether to reboot the device to make the upgraded software take effect
after the application file is uploaded.
Upgrading at the CLI through a system reboot
Follow the steps to upgrade the system software image:
1. Save the system software image to the root directory of the device's storage media by using FTP,
TFTP, or other approaches.
2. Specify the startup configuration file of the device at the CLI.
3. Reboot the device to make the startup configuration file take effect.
