Rebooting the device
When a fault occurs to a running LB module, you can remove the fault by rebooting the module with any
of the following methods:
• Power off and then power on the LB module. This method is also called “hard reboot” or “cold start”.
This method impacts the module a lot. Powering off a running LB module will cause data loss and
hardware damages. HP does not recommend this method.
• Trigger the immediate reboot in the web interface or command line interface (CLI).
• Enable the scheduled reboot function at the CLI. You can set a time at which the LB module can
automatically reboot, or set a delay so that the module can automatically reboot within the delay.
The last two methods are command line operations. Reboot through CLI is also called hot start, which is
mainly used to reboot the LB module in remote maintenance.

Configuration procedure

shown in Figure 72.

Click Apply to reboot the LB module.
If you select Check whether the configuration is saved to the configuration file for next boot, the LB
module will do the related checking before rebooting. If finding that the current configuration is not saved
in the configuration file to be used at the next boot, the system will prompt that the module cannot reboot.
