Unified multi-system management
NOTE:
•
A LB module can be applied in HP A7500/A9500/A12500 Switch Series and A8800 Router Series. An HP
A7500 is used as an example in this document.
• The LB module supports unified multi-system management at the CLI only.
Overview
The A7500 Switch Series is a line of new-generation high end multi-service routing switches aiming at
integrated service networks. The HP LB module is a high performance load balancing product, which can
be inserted into an A7500 to extend the load balancing function of the A7500.
The A7500 and LB module have their independent system. If you insert one or multiple LB modules into
the A7500, you can configure the unified multi-system management function to configure the systems
through the web interface.
After unified multi-system management is configured, each LB module will register to the A7500 (the LB
modules operate as the ACSEI clients, and the A7500 operates as the ACSEI server) through the ACSEI
function. After the registration is successful, you can see the information of each LB module on the Web
configuration page of the A7500. You can enter the Web configuration page of an LB module by
clicking the corresponding button to perform configurations.
For example, you can see that an LB module is inserted into slot 6 of the device on the Web configuration
page of the A7500. Click manage, and you will enter the configuration page of the LB module, as shown
in Figure 49.
