R3721-F3210-F3171-HP High-End Firewalls Network Management Command Reference-6PW101

24
Parameters
ratio: Sets the broadcast suppression threshold as a percentage of the transmission capability of an
Ethernet interface, ranging from 1 to 100. The smaller the percentage, the less broadcast traffic is
allowed to pass through.
Description
Use broadcast-suppression to set the broadcast suppression threshold on an Ethernet interface or
subinterface.
Use undo broadcast-suppression to restore the default.
By default, Ethernet interfaces do not suppress broadcast traffic.
When broadcast traffic exceeds the broadcast suppression threshold, the interface discards broadcast
packets until the broadcast traffic drops below the threshold.
Examples
# Set the broadcast suppression threshold to 20% on GigabitEthernet 0/1.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface gigabitethernet 0/1
[Sysname-GigabitEthernet0/1] broadcast-suppression 20
# Set the broadcast suppression threshold to 20% on subinterface GigabitEthernet 0/1.1.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface gigabitethernet 0/1.1
[Sysname-GigabitEthernet0/1.1] broadcast-suppression 20
jumboframe enable
Syntax
jumboframe enable [ value ]
undo jumboframe enable
View
Layer 2 Ethernet interface view
Default level
2: System level
Parameters
value: Sets the maximum length of Ethernet frames that are allowed to pass through. The value ranges
from 64 to 1518, and defaults to 1518. If you set the value argument multiple times, the latest
configuration takes effect.
Description
Use jumboframe enable to allow jumbo frames within the specified length to pass through an Ethernet
interface.
Use undo jumboframe enable to prevent jumbo frames from passing through an Ethernet interface.
By default, the device allows jumbo frames within a specified length to pass through Layer 2 Ethernet
interfaces.
You can configure the maximum length of jumbo frames in Ethernet interface view.
