Virtual template (VT) interface—Template used for configuring virtual access (VA) interfaces.
Bridge-aggregation interface (BAGG)—Also known as a “Layer 2 aggregate interface, which
bundles multiple Layer 2 Ethernet interfaces.
Route-aggregation interface (RAGG)—Also known as a “Layer 3 aggregate interface”, which
bundles multiple Layer 3 Ethernet interfaces.
RAGG subinterfaces—Also known as a “Layer 3 aggregate subinterface, which operates in the
network layer and processes Layer 3 protocols. You can assign an IP address for a RAGG
subinterface. A RAGG subinterface receives and transmits VLAN tagged packets on a RAGG
interface.
Dialer interfaces—Logical interfaces created for dialing services. A physical interface such as a
serial, BRI, or an Async interface, can inherit the configurations of a dialer interface after it is
assigned to the dialer interface. The baud rate of a dialer interface is always 64000 bps.
You can use the interface management feature to view interface information, create/remove logical
interfaces, change interface status, and reset interface parameters.
