Specify the filename of the local application file, which must be with an
extension.bin.
File Type
Specify the type of the boot file for the next boot:
Main
Backup—Used to boot the device when the main boot file is unavailable.
If a file with the same
name already exists,
overwrite it without any
prompt
Specify whether to overwrite the file with the same name.
If you do not select the option, when a file with the same name exists, the system
prompts "The file has existed.", and you cannot upgrade the software.
Reboot after the
upgrade is finished
Specify whether to reboot the device to make the upgraded software take effect
after the application file is uploaded.
Upgrading system software at the CLI
1. Transfer the system software image to the root directory of the device's storage media by using a
method such as FTP or TFTP.
IMPORTANT:
The image file must be saved in the root directory for a successful upgrade.
2. Use the boot-loader file file-url { main | backup } command in user view to specify the new system
software image to be used at the next startup.
3. Reboot the device.
