HP StorageWorks B-series Data Center Fabric Manager Professional 10.1.x Release Notes (5697-0804 July 2009 - includes all 10.1.x versions)

SolutionClosed defect summary
Fixed in DCFM 10.1.4After the DCFM client accepted changes, the client was not updated and
the discovery dialog was empty because the database connection was
not closed.
Fixed in DCFM 10.1.4The CLI displays the NPIV device type for the attached node correctly as
NPIV target, but the DCFM Product List displays the NPIV device type
as NPIV initiator. The DCFM displays the encryption select target
dialog host selection screen rather than select target dialog.
Fixed in DCFM 10.1.4DCFM displays the message Zone Member or Alias not found
for a B-series slot/port member that exists as a domain and port member
in the zone.
Fixed in DCFM 10.1.4The DCFM local client is slow and eventually hangs during discovery,
preventing new clients from opening. A second local client
nl
displays the message contacting the server on login attempt and
the remote client displays the message Server not available at
port xxxxx.
Fixed in DCFM 10.1.4An ISL Offline event policy type action is not triggered when an ISL goes
down.
Fixed in DCFM 10.1.4

Workaround prior to this upgrade:
You could recover by entering the
password in the discovery setup
window for every switch in the
nl
affected fabric.
After an authentication failure, all switches in a fabric become unreachable
and DCFM discovery does not recover. All switches have a blank or empty
password field.
Fixed in DCFM 10.1.4After fabrics are discovered, ISLs disappear when a monitor or unmonitor
operation is performed.
Fixed in DCFM 10.1.4After stopping services in the Server Management Console (SMC), the
status bar does not indicate the same service status as the Services tab.
Fixed in DCFM 10.1.4ISL disappears in the Topology when the Seed Switch is changed from
the switch running FOS 6.1 or earlier to a Non Default Logical Switch.
Fixed in DCFM 10.1.4On the HP StorageWorks 8/80 SAN Switch, four logical switches are
allowed. If you have configured four logical switches, and you use the
Logical Switches window to delete a switch and then create a new one,
when you click OK to process the edits, the old logical switch is deleted,
but the new one is not created. An error message appears, indicating
that the maximum number of logical switches are present on the switch.
Fixed in DCFM 10.1.4Internal errors and slow response times occur on the host server during
DCFM installation. Database timeouts are written to the log.
Fixed in DCFM 10.1.4Real-time performance graphs are not displayed for some end-to-end
monitors and the following error message is written to the log Switch
null in fabric has been removed from discovery. Real
time performance data not available.
Fixed in DCFM 10.1.4Selecting Disable VF from the chassis group without discovering the default
switch does not disable the VF; an error message appears.
