Installing a QSFP transceiver and ICL cable
1. While holding the bail, position the QSFP
transceiver to align with the blade connector and
push in the transceiver until it is firmly seated.
The status LED initially blinks amber, and then
displays steady amber. The QSFP transceiver is
keyed to fit into the connector only one way.

2. While holding the rubber housing, align the ICL
cable with the QSFP transceiver and push it into
the transceiver until it is firmly seated.
The status LED displays steady amber until both
ends of the cable are inserted and the link is
established. The cable housing is keyed to fit into
the QSFP transceiver only one way.
3. Attach the other end of the ICL cable with their
respective connectors on the core switch blade.
When the link is fully established, the LED displays
steady green.
4. When all cables are attached, perform the
configuration procedure described in the Brocade
Fabric OS Administrator’s Guide 7.0.0.
A core-edge topology can have up to six connected
SN8000B chassis.
