Copy the command output into a text file named “SANbefor.txt”. This information can be used

after the 4/256 SAN Director is restored to the fabric, to verify that no unintentional changes

have occurred to the fabric.

8. Type supportShow; then, copy the command output into a text file named “spptshow.txt”.

NOTE: The supportshow command has very long output and time for completion can last

between 2 and 20 minutes or longer depending on the size of your SAN.

This file provides a backup of all the information that might be required by HP Technical Support.

The information can be used after the switch is restored to the fabric, to verify that no

unintentional changes have occurred to the fabric.
