Configuring OAP The controller engine and the switching engine cooperate with each other through the Open Application Platform (OAP) technology. The controller engine and switching engine each run a separate operating system. From the controller engine, you can log in to the switching engine to configure and manage the switching engine system. Support for this feature depends on the device model. For more information, see About the Configuration Guides for HP Unified Wired-WLAN Products.
Resetting the switching engine CAUTION: To prevent disk data loss, close the operating system of the engine (using the poweroff command) before resetting the switching engine. If the switch engine fails or has a problem, you can reboot it to have it recovered. To reset the switching engine, execute the following command in user view: Task Command Reset the switching engine.
