All HP A3308A, A3511A, and A3511AZ Fibre Channel SCSI Multiplexers (MUX) have a factory-installed FC adapter in

Slot A. Its location and part number are shown below.

HP A3512A is an additional FC adapter that is customer-installable in Slot B. To install the additional FC adapter,

Step 3: Remove the cover and bezel. Step 5: Slide the cover off and remove the bezel with an upward motion as shown in Figures 4 and 5. Prepare the adapter. Remove the FC adapter from its package. Being careful not to bend the pins, remove the optical port protector from the connector (see Figure 1). Step 6: Insert and seat the adapter. Grasp the top of the adapter card and gently push it in, using a forward and backward motion. See Figure 7.
