Topology toolbar items
The Topology view consists of nested windows and element icons that can be viewed or hidden using an
expand (+) or collapse icon (–). The Topology view includes the standard toolbar displayed in each view
in Fabric Manager (see Table 7 on page 43), as well as its own set of icons described in Table 10.
Viewing tool tips
From the Topology view, you can view tool tips that provide basic information about the element you
clicked. To display a tool tip, click-and-hold on any element in the view. Figure 30 on page 71 displays the
speed of a link between two switches (and identifies the port number of each connection). Tool tips
disappear when you release the mouse button.
NOTE: Tool tips are disabled while you use the Select, Pan, or interactive zoom features (Zoom in
rectangle, Zoom in, Zoom out, Fit to view, and Overview).

Icon Name Description
Pan Drags the Topology view in any direction to see different portions of the
fabric topology.
Select Moves nodes within the Topology view.
Zoom in rectangle Drags to zoom in on a particular rectangular region of the topology.
Zoom in Zooms in.
Zoom out Zooms out.
Fit to view Click to fit the entire topology in your Fabric Manager window.
Overview Opens a new window that displays the entire topology in miniature.
Snapshot Takes a screen shot of your topology graph that you can save in .png
format.
Straight link style Arranges links so they connect in a straight line from one element to
another.
Orthogonal link
style
Arranges links in horizontal and vertical lines, with right angles, to
connect elements.
