To limit communication of individual objects. Zone objects can communicate only with
other objects in the same zone. For example, consider Figure 1 on page 18, which shows
the following:
Three zones, named Red, Green, and Blue, have been configured.
Server 1 can communicate only with the Loop 1 devices.
Server 2 can communicate only with the RAID and Blue zone devices.
Server 3 can communicate with the RAID device and the Loop1 devices.
The Loop 2 JBODs are not assigned to a zone; no other zoned fabric device can access
them.

Zone characteristics
Zones have the following qualities:
They can be configured dynamically and can vary in size, depending on the number of
fabric-connected devices.
They can be disabled at any time. When zoning is disabled, devices can freely access
other devices in the fabric.
