Diagnostics: backporttest Backport test passes only in:
• A pure SAN Director 2/128 system
• A SAN Director 2/128 system with no 4/256 SAN Directors and
under option 5.
For all other configurations, use the minicycle test instead.
Diagnostics: spinsilk Configuration
The spinSilk command will fail in a pure SAN Director 4/256
system using configuration option 1.
For all other configurations, use the minicycle test instead.
Nondefault operands
IMPORTANT: The use of nondefault operands for diagnostic
commands is recommended for advanced users and technical
support only.
Upgrading and downgrading When considering an upgrade to a later Fabric OS release save the
zone database configuration immediately following the upgrade.
Changes to the zoning database can then be conducted. If you are
considering downgrading to the prior Fabric OS release, remember to
clear the zoning database then restore the saved zoning database
configuration prior to the downgrade.
Zoning With AUDIT logging enabled, while performing zoning changes via
CLI, an additional audit log from HTTP may also appear along with the
audit logs from zoning. This message does not always appear, and
when it does, it represents redundant reporting by the CAL layer.
