Known Problems and Workarounds for X.25/9000 Products
Known Problems and Workarounds
for X.25/9000 Products
This section describes known problems and workarounds for
version B.11.00.05 of the J2793B X.25 software for the HP 9000
server systems and workstations.
If you are installing one or more PCI cards in a V class system,
and these cards require 32 MB or more of memory mapped I/O,
upon subsequent system initialization (or reboot) the kernel
will panic.
This problem may occur with the J3526A card, 4-port WAN
PCI adapter, and any combination of other PCI cards (WAN,
ATM, Hyperfabric).
To correct this problem, install the HP-UX 11.0 Extension
Software Release XR40/IPR9808.
When installing the J2793B X.25 software, you will see the
following message reported by swinstall:
The software item “J2793B, r=B.11.00.05, a=HP-UX
B.11.00.32/64, v=HP” is a bundle (or a product,
subproduct or fileset contained within a bundle).
This item was successfully marked, but
difficulties were encountered while marking some
items that it depends on. The messages below show
which software items encountered difficulties and
exactly what these difficulties were:
*The software “SX25 - HPerf, r=B.11.00.05.AA,
a=HP-UX_B.11.00_32/64, v=HP” was successfully
marked, but it depends on the following
software items which could not be found in the
source. However, these items may already be in
the target. This will be checked during the
Analysis Phase:
SystemAdmin.SAM, r>=B.11.00.%,
