Advanced Communications Controller Release Notes for the B.03.01 Release
Major Enhancements and New Features
dynamically configured using zonfig() timeslot zero can only be
assigned to subchannel zero, otherwise a status code
(PT_BAD_TS) will be returned.
ttgen now reports an error if timeslots 25 to 31 inclusive are
assigned to a subchannel when the port is configured in Tmode.
ttgen also reports an error if timeslot zero is assigned to a
subchannel in any port mode. ttgen does allow a subchannel to
be defined with no timeslots assigned to it. This may be used
for terminals which do not interact with the physical network,
and do not need to be associated with any particular timeslot
on the port.
ACC Protocol Enhancements
The X.25 protocol has been enhanced to fully support
end-to-end acknowledgment of X.25 data packets with the
D-bit set to 1. New ZX25 API calls, as noted above are required
to take full advantage of this new functionality at the low-level
ZX25 API. When using X.25/9000 with the ACC software, the
end-to-end acknowledgment handling of data packets with the
D-bit set to 1 is disabled by default at installation to preserve
compatibility in behavior with previous ACC software releases.
To enable this functionality under X.25/9000, you can add the
following line to the /stand/system file and rebuild the kernel.

The HDLC/LAP-B protocol and the X.25 protocol at level 2
have been enhanced to support optional operation with modulo
128 extended sequence numbering. If selecting this option with
the Z7200A, Z7350A or Z7400A ACC interface cards, care
should be taken not to choose a large window size which may
cause the ACC card to run short of buffers.
Enhancements in Utilities
zmlog can support negative message priority. The message
priority specified in the message text file ranges from -128 to
127. Since the default minimum display priority in zmlog is
zero (0), zmlog by default will not display messages with
negative priority. Use the -p option to change the display
priority level if necessary. This feature allows unwanted
