appl The application number for the terminal provides a
means to control which terminals are used for which
program. Application programs are then able to query
the application number to determine if they should
communicate with this terminal. Use application
numbers greater than 1000 for user defined
applications.
inst The number of the institution owning the terminal (or
other application-specific information).
brch The branch number where the terminal is located (or
other application-specific information).
work The terminal (work station) number within the branch
(or other application-specific information).
area Normally a number used to group together a number of
branches into a region (or other application-specific
information).
callno (Optional) An X.25 call number (maximum of 15
digits), in the following format:
call:nnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
desc A 29-character description of the terminal.
Option
The physical terminal option words may be set by specifying “OPTION”
(case-insensitive) with the required value after a Term or Pterm
definition. The lower 8 bits of the first option word and all 16 bits of any
subsequent words are used in terminal configuration in the ACC card
during ZCOM system startup. Their use and meaning is protocol
dependent. Refer to the relevant protocol reference manual for details.
The default value for the first word is obtained from the device table. The
default value for all subsequent words is zero.
