Overview
Chapter 368
Overview
The purpose of ZMNTR is to present a comprehensive view of the ZCOM
runtime system by making available important configuration and state
information. The ZMNTR utility also allows interactive control over the
ZCOM runtime system. ZMNTR handles:
• Display of ZCOM runtime configuration information
• Display of ZCOM runtime state and error information
• Control of the operational state of devices and links
The following information is provided:
•Terminal state
• Number of transmitted messages
• Number of received messages
• Number of errored messages
• Error rate as a percentage of correct messages
• Message totals by line, or over the whole system
• ACC card configuration and state
• X.25-specific details
In addition, ZMNTR allows:
• Enabling or disabling any terminal or group of terminals
• Activating and deactivating terminals - Activate enables inbound (or
read) data
• Performing loopback tests on specific ports
ZMNTR may be run interactively from a terminal or window, or may be
run from a command script. The output it generates is directed to
standard out (usually the terminal) or may be sent to a file.
ZMNTR also has an auto-repeat function to allow the terminal display to
be updated on a regular basis without keyboard intervention.
