Introduction
This document describes the particular ACC implementation of
recommendation X.25 for use through the ZCOM API, identifying which
of the optional features described in the ITU-T (formerly CCITT)
standard have been implemented. This manual describes:
• how to install the protocol.
• protocol specific configuration details.
• X.25 programming using the ZCOM and ACC X.25 API routines.
• systems messages logged by the ACC X.25 subsystem.
• unsolicited status messages generated by the ACC X.25 subsystem.
The X.25 protocol is defined in ITU-T Fascicle VIII.2 - Recommendation
X.25 ‘Interface Between Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) And Data
Circuit-Terminating Equipment (DCE) For Terminals Operating In The
Packet Mode and Connected to Public Data Networks by Dedicated
Circuit’. This was originally issued at Geneva 1976 and subsequently
amended at Geneva in 1980, Malaga-Torremolinos in 1984, and
Melbourne in 1988.
This implementation supports the 1980 and 1984 specifications. You may
use this product on X.25 recommendations 1988 and 1993, however,
some features may not be implemented (such as on-line facility
registration).
