Parameter
max-ratio: Enter the broadcast suppression ratio for the current VLAN as a
percentage, in the range 0 to 100. The smaller the percentage, the less broadcast
traffic is allowed through the VLAN. If you do not want to perform broadcast
suppression on the VLAN, enter 100.
Description
Use the broadcast-suppression command to limit the amount of broadcast
traffic passing through a VLAN. When the traffic exceeds the specified
percentage, the system will drop packets to guarantee the network service and
reduce the broadcast traffic to a manageable limit.
Use the undo broadcast-suppression command to restore the default ratio
of 100, that is, no broadcast suppression.
