Description
This release includes updated tape drive firmware for Ultrium 920 half-height parallel SCSI HP
StorageWorks 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloaders, and MSL2024, MSL4048, MSL 8048, and MSL8096
Tape Libraries.
The tape drive firmware can be updated through any of the following methods:
Remote management interface (RMI).
Operator control panel (OCP).
HP Library and Tape Tools (L&TT).
Tape drive firmware versions
D24W parallel SCSI
Update recommendation Recommended
Supersedes All earlier versions of tape drive firmware.

Fixes
Fixed a case where the tape drive appeared unresponsive following error conditions with certain
non-HP 320 MB/sec HBAs. This issue has only been detected in Linux operating systems.
Installation instructions
To upgrade firmware from the RMI:
1. Download current firmware using HP Library & Tape Tools or from the HP support website: http:/
/www.hp.com/support/storage
2. Log into the RMI as the administrator user.
3. In the Support: Firmware page, select the tape drive, browse to the location of the tape drive
firmware file, and click Update.
4. Repeat step 3 for additional Ultrium 920 pSCSI tape drives in the Library.
To upgrade firmware from the 1/8 G2 Autoloader or MSL2024 OCP using a USB flash drive:
