Upgrade Procedures

It is necessary to remove the top and side covers (on the left side of the server as you face the front of the

server chassis) to route the cables and to gain access to the backplane.

Removing the Server Top Cover

Step 1. Connect to ground with a wrist strap.

Step 2. Loosen the blue retaining screws securing the cover to the chassis.

Step 3. Slide the cover toward the rear of the chassis.

Step 4. Lift the cover up and away from the chassis.

Step 5. Place the cover in a safe location.
