Removing and Replacing a Bulk Power Supply (BPS)
The bulk power supply is located in the front of the chassis. The BPS is a hot swap-component.
CAUTION Observe all ESD safety precautions before attempting this procedure. Failure to follow ESD
safety precautions could result in damage to the SEU.
Preliminary Procedures
Step 1. Identify the failed power supply.
Step 2. Connect to ground with a wrist strap.
Step 3. Visually inspect the replacement part for proper number and revision.

IMPORTANT When a BPS is pulled from the SEU and then immediately re-inserted, the SEU may report an
overcurrent condition and shut down.
